About Me
I have been working with children and families for over 13 years. Throughout that time I have gained extensive experience of working with vulnerable children and adults, particularly those who have experienced trauma and abuse.
I have worked in a number of settings including children's centres, schools, charities and children's homes.
Prior to qualifying a therapist I spent 10 years delivering and managing safeguarding, family support and pastoral services. This has given me considerable knowledge and experience of working with families who have social care and multi-agency involvement, as well as those going through legal proceedings and children who are looked after by the Local Authority.
Whilst I enjoyed leading support services it was my desire to work directly with children and families that led me back to university and qualify as a Therapist.
As well as providing therapy I am an Associate Lecturer at the University of Northampton and offer safeguarding training to schools and other organisations that work with children and families.
